Terms and Conditions for Sponsorship of Kids’ Book Club for Parents

By enrolling in the Kids’ Book Club for Parents Sponsorship Programme (“Membership”), you (“Member” or “You”) agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should not enrol in or continue participation in the Membership.

1. Membership Overview

1.1. The Membership provides children’s book authors with promotional opportunities through the Kids’ Book Club for Parents Facebook Group, the Kids’ Book Club for Parents Newsletter, and any other associated channels as determined by Kids’ Book Club for Parents and Seal Lane Media (“Company,” “We,” “Us”).

1.2. Membership benefits, including but not limited to advertising placements, are subject to change at the Company’s sole discretion.

1.3. Membership is offered on a recurring subscription basis, with fees charged at regular intervals as outlined during the signup process.

1.4 Boosted Membership is an optional add-on that incurs additional fees on an as-needed basis and allows Boosted Members extra privileges and perks for a limited period of time.

2. Eligibility and Acceptance

2.1. Membership is available only to individuals or businesses promoting children’s books or related content that aligns with the purpose of the platform.

2.2. The Company reserves the right to accept or decline any membership application for any reason and at any time, at its sole discretion.

3. Content Submission and Approval

3.1. Members may submit promotional materials, including but not limited to book listings, descriptions, images, and special offers (“Content”).

3.2. The Company reserves the right to approve, reject, modify, or remove any Content for any reason, including but not limited to appropriateness, quality, alignment with audience interests, or legal considerations.

3.3. Members are responsible for ensuring that all Content complies with applicable laws, regulations, and copyright or trademark protections.

4. Termination and Suspension

4.1. The Company reserves the right to suspend or terminate any Membership, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to:

• Violation of these Terms and Conditions.
• Submitting inappropriate, offensive, or misleading Content.
• Engaging in conduct that disrupts the community or damages the reputation of the Company.
• Misuse or abuse, or attempted misuse or abuse, of Membership and/or Boosted Membership perks and privileges, including, but not limited to, posting inappropriate or irrelevant content to the Facebook group while post approval is turned off.

4.2. Members may cancel their Membership at any time. However, no refunds will be issued for any unused portion of the subscription period.

4.3. If Membership is terminated by the Company, any remaining fees paid by the Member will not be refunded.

5. Payments and Fees

5.1. Membership fees are charged on a recurring basis as stated at the time of enrolment. 5.2. The Company reserves the right to change Membership pricing at any time. However, existing Members will maintain their initial rate as long as they remain continuously subscribed (“Grandfathered Pricing”).

5.3. Failure to make timely payments may result in suspension or termination of Membership.

6. Limitation of Liability

6.1. The Company makes no guarantees regarding the success, visibility, or effectiveness of any promotion conducted through the Membership.

6.2. Under no circumstances shall the Company be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from or related to participation in the Membership.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1. By submitting Content, Members grant the Company a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, distribute, and display such Content for promotional purposes. 7.2. Members retain ownership of their intellectual property and are solely responsible for ensuring they have the right to distribute any submitted Content.

8. Privacy and Data Use

8.1. The Company may collect and use Member data in accordance with its Privacy Policy. 8.2. The Company will not sell or share Member information with third parties except as required by law or necessary for the operation of the Membership.

9. Changes to Terms and Conditions

9.1. The Company reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Members will be notified of significant changes via email or platform announcements.

9.2. Continued participation in the Membership after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

10.1. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia, without regard to conflict of law principles.

10.2. Any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiations. If unresolved, disputes shall be settled by binding arbitration in Victoria, Australia.

By enrolling in the Membership, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
